1月30日，广东省政府新闻办举行主题为“幸福广东”的“十四五”广东成就系列主题新闻发布会，介绍“十四五”以来广东民生保障和改善的情况和成效。

广东省人力资源和社会保障厅副厅长谢忠保在发布会上介绍，“十四五”期间，全省就业人员总量7000多万，年度平均城镇调查失业率运行在5.5%目标范围内。全省城镇新增就业累计704.7万人，促进创业80.65万人次，就业形势总体稳定，就业质量稳步提升。广东省加大创业融资支持力度，“十四五”时期，全省累计发放各类创业补贴超30亿元，新增发放创业担保贷款322亿元，资助优秀创业项目508个，拨付资金6720万元。

806,500 People Assisted in Entrepreneurship: Guangdong Boosts Startup Financing Support During China's 14th Five-Year Plan Period

On January 30, the Press Conference on ''Achievements of Guangdong's 14th Five-Year Plan—'Building a Happy Guangdong' Session'' was held in Guangzhou, introducing the progress and achievements Guangdong has made in safeguarding and improving people's livelihoods during China's 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025).

Xie Zhongbao, Deputy Director of Human Resources and Social Security Department of Guangdong Province, stated during the press conference that during China's 14th Five-Year Plan period, Guangdong recorded a total employed population of over 70 million, accounting for around one-tenth of the national total. The average annual surveyed urban unemployment rate was kept within the target range of 5.5%. Cumulatively, 7.047 million new urban jobs were created across the province, and entrepreneurship support was provided in approximately 806,500 instances. The overall employment situation remained stable with steady improvements in job quality. Guangdong also ramped up financial support for startups. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the province distributed more than 3 billion yuan in various entrepreneurship subsidies, issued 32.2 billion yuan in new guaranteed loans for startups and funded 508 outstanding entrepreneurial projects with a total allocation of 67.2 million yuan.
