China's top market regulator on Tuesday released draft rules preventing unfair competition in the internet sector. The rules were drafted to maintain fair competition in the market order, protect the legitimate rights and interests of operators and consumers, and promote the standard, sustained and healthy development of the digital economy, the State Administration for Market Regulation said.

8月17日，市场监管总局发布《禁止网络不正当竞争行为规定（公开征求意见稿）》，提出经营者不得利用技术手段，通过影响用户选择、限流、屏蔽、商品下架等方式，减少其他经营者之间的交易机会，实施“二选一”行为，妨碍、破坏其他经营者合法提供的网络产品或者服务的正常运行，扰乱市场公平竞争秩序。

China is strengthening personal data protection as a draft law is submitted to the Standing Committee of NPC for approval on Tuesday. The draft will focus on improving the rules for handling personal information, targeting excessive collection of personal data by apps, price discrimination by big data analyses, and illegal trading or disclosing private data.

个人信息保护法草案17日提请十三届全国人大常委会第三十次会议三审，三次审议稿进一步完善个人信息处理规则，特别是对应用程序过度收集个人信息、大数据杀熟以及非法买卖、泄露个人信息等作出有针对性规范。

The Chinese embassy in Afghanistan was “operating normally” and embassy staff were “still at their posts and fulfilling their duties” after the Taliban took control of Kabul, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said at a regular news briefing yesterday.

As the Chinese electric vehicle producer Nio’s fatal car accident sparked autonomous driving concerns over the past days, another smart car maker Li auto's founder Li Xiang called for clarification of terms used in auto-driving classifications by media to avoid misunderstanding in users. Also, Tesla is under investigation by the US traffic authorities of its driver-assistance system after a series of collisions on Monday.

美国国家公路交通安全管理局昨日宣布对特斯拉的Autopilot自动辅助驾驶系统展开正式调查。此前，蔚来汽车发生涉及车辆自动驾驶功能的致死事故，引起对自动驾驶安全性的广泛关注。理想汽车创始人李想在朋友圈呼吁媒体和行业机构统一自动驾驶的中文名词的标准，避免造成用户误解。

China’s debt-strapped developer Evergrade Group’s Hui Ka-yan will step down as chairman of flagship unit Evergrande Real Estate, a posting on the National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System showed on Tuesday. Zhao Changlong will replace Hui as chairman, who will also be general manager. Zhao is also a deputy chairman and general manager at another unit, Evergrande Property Services.

Wechat Pay is reported to be testing a new function which users can make a payment by putting their hands in front of the scanning area of the WeChat payment device. This is hailed as a new generation of payment experience. Tencent responded today that this function is still in the stage of internal pre-research, and there is no current plan for application. 

据报道，微信支付于近期正在内测一项名为“刷掌支付”的全新支付功能。今天，针对微信或支持刷手支付的消息，腾讯回应称刷掌支付仅为微信内部技术预研，未开启测试，目前也无应用计划。

Chinese biotech firm Sino Biological was officially listed in ChiNext stocks market on Monday, with its issues price at 292.92 yuan per share, the most expensive new stock in A-shares history. Last year, the firm reported a revenue of 1.6 billion yuan, rising by almost nine times boosted by the epidemic. Shares of Sino Biological closed 6.6 percent higher at 525.66 yuan today, after a 68.4 percent surge on its debut yesterday.  

8月16日，有“最贵新股新股”之称的义翘神州正式在创业板上市，IPO发行价为292.92元/股，是A股历史上发行价最高的新股。由于新冠疫情大流行，这家医疗公司发展迅速。2020年，该公司营收同比增长近9倍至约16亿元人民币，其中超过五分之一为新冠病毒相关产品收入。上市首日，义翘神州收涨68.4%，今日继续上涨，收涨6.6%，报525.66元。

Two investment arms of venture capital firm Lilly Asia planed to cut the holdings of CanSino’s mainland shares by up to 7.7 million in the next six months, representing about 3.1 percent of the firm’s equity, CanSino said in a statement last weekend. Shares of CanSino closed 6 percent lower today at 403 yuan, following a 10 percent drop in Shanghai yesterday.  

8月13日晚间，康希诺发布公告称，持股5%以上股东上海礼安、苏州礼泰拟通过集中竞价交易、大宗交易的方式减持其所持有的公司股份合计不超过770.95万股，拟减持股份占公司总股本的比例约为3.12%。昨日A股康希诺收跌近10%，今日继续下挫，收跌6%，报403元。

Chinese stocks all closed in loss on Tuesday as the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index went down 2 percent, at 3466 points. The Shenzhen Component Index closed 2.33 percent lower at 14350 points. The Hang Seng Index lost 1.66 percent to stand at 25745 points. 

周二A股股市集体收跌，截至收盘，沪指跌2%，报收3446点；深成指跌2.33%，报收14350点。港股恒生指数收跌1.66%，报收25745点。
